Artemis Acres Guest Ranch is a Western lodging and horseback riding facility nestled in the foothills of the Salish Mountain Range, which is a part of Northwest Montana’s Rocky Mountains. We offer more than a bed and breakfast, but remain smaller than most “dude” ranches, thereby enabling us to provide a guest ranch atmosphere in a more intimate setting.

Our ranch consists of eighty deeded acres, and we lease hundreds more acres adjacent to the ranch from a private timber company, providing miles and miles of area for hiking, horseback riding, hunting, and snowmobiling. Trails also connect with thousands of acres of Forest Service land open for your enjoyment. Patrick Creek flows through our property, as does a seasonal creek.

Meals are traditional western fare: hearty breakfasts, a picnic lunch to take along on your montana adventures, and barbecued meats with all the trimmings for dinner.  We focus on quality ingredients prepared in a simple manner, with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, to please everyone’s palette.  Vegetarian meals on request.

Because we are only thirty miles from Glacier National Park, nine miles from Flathead Lake, and halfway between Big Mountain and Blacktail ski areas, Artemis Acres is an ideal spot to spend a peaceful vacation with an extensive variety of things to do in the vicinity.

Spend a day relaxing at the ranch or hiking its surrounding forests.  Ride horses to the mountaintops and experience the majestic views of the Flathead Valley, Flathead Lake and Swan Mountain Range.  Enjoy a day boating or swimming on one of the many lakes, or fishing the streams in the area. Spend a day (or two or three!) exploring Glacier National Park. Drive around the perimeter of Flathead Lake.  Visit the National Bison Range.  Ride the gondola to the top of Big Mountain. Go white-water rafting. Golf at one of a variety of executive to championship level golf courses.  Join us for a western outdoor barbecue.
